Sarah Palin Resigns as Govenor of Alaska

July 3rd, 2009 · No Comments

sarah_palin_2Alaskan Govenor Sarah Palin made a very shocking announcement today that she will be stepping down as governor of the State of Alaska. She has not yet fully explained why she is stepping down as Governor of Alaska, but one might speculate that she will be preparing to make her run for President in 2012.

Sarah called a quick news conference in her home town of Wasilla but was very brief and did not fully explain the sudden decision. Sarah Palin spoke in a statement released by her office. “Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the conventional Lame Duck status in this particular climate would just be another dose of politics as usual, something I campaigned against and will always oppose,”

Sarah said ” People who know me know that besides faith and family, nothings more important to me than our beloved Alaska

Sarah Palin – The People’s Politician

June 18th, 2009 · No Comments

I like Sarah Palin because I can relate to her. She doesn’t try to be something she is not. I think the media really had it in for Palin because they don’t like it when people are non-postured and genuine. They want controversy and have been so hateful over the last decades that they have come to take regular people as buffoons and not worthy of being leaders. That is poppycock. This country was born out of regular people who took the initiative and lead all people for the greater good. Sarah Palin is one of those people. She cares so much about what is important, family, country and state.

It is obvious how much Sarah Palin cares about the people who elected her. Palin has never let her star status go to her head and even dealing with a hostile media, she has maintained her integrity and wholesome way of looking at the world. In today’s world that is a commodity not often seen, especially in politics. When I listen to Sarah Palin on TV, I see a person who says what she means and does what she says she is going to do. She seems to really care about every citizen.

Even lately with the terrible things that were said about her youngest daughter on a late night talk show, Palin showed grace in the face of adversity. She very tersely but elegantly scolded the talk show host all the while showing that she would defend her daughter’s honor to the last. When that host offered a weak apology, Sarah Palin showed her feelings very strongly and had the grace to accept his second apology. That took guts and I am sure not a lot of people would be capable of that kind of reserve. She set a good example with her acceptance of his lackluster apology.

The fact that Sarah Palin hasn’t lost her folksy way is a testament to her upbringing and her love of family and country. She doesn’t put on airs or act like she is smarter than everyone else. What she does is present real solutions to real problems meant to help each and every one of her constituents in Alaska as well as American citizens everywhere. She has proven that a working mom can bring something to the table politically and governmentally. I hope the media realizes someday how special Palin is.

Sarah Palin – Always Stays Classy

June 18th, 2009 · No Comments

What I truly like and admire about Sarah Palin is that she always takes the high road and never ever skirts hard to deal with issues no matter what they are regarding. Her principles are clear and she lets everyone know not to mess around with what she holds dear whether it be her family, her state or her country. Palin never shies away from answering difficult questions about situations that would make other politicians wither in their seats and invoke the old “no comment” clause when asked an uncomfortable question. She is a people’s politician and has never lost sight of the fact that she serves her constituents and by all accounts does it proudly and with humility.

In this recent flap regarding Dave Letterman’s comments on his show, Sarah Palin rose up immediately and let Letterman, his company and the country know that her children are off limits. That is a classy maneuver and shows how connected she is with her family. That she is a truly grounded and focused individual who will not tolerate attacks on those she loves. It is an admirable quality and one most people should take note of. Taking the high road is always the best policy and Palin embodies that.

Sarah Palin also seems to always be an example of integrity and is not afraid to let someone know when they go over the line. Letterman is the perfect example. Palin gave him a softball reaction when the controversy first began, but when Letterman offered a weak “non-apology”, she let the bullets fly, showing that she will give you a chance but if you do it again she’s coming after you. I think that kind of attitude has been sorely lost amongst today’s politicians and I am glad Palin is out there speaking for those of us who still believe in integrity and class.

I liked Sarah Palin on the campaign trail and I like her even better now. I am glad she has stayed in the public eye and remains focused on making her state and the nation a better place to live. She seems like a real person to me with real values and she truly cares about her family and country. It is really too bad that a comedian feels the need to try and humiliate her and her family. Sarah Palin doesn’t deserve that kind of hate thrown around. The Alaska Governor Sarah Palin accepted the late night host’s apology for the crack about her daughter.
