There are few things in life you cannot put a price on. You will forever remember the moment you have your first kid. It will cost you nothing to hear your child say their first words, but it is a memory that will never be forgotten. And you simply cannot forget about the time your favorite sports team finally conquered all and won the Super Bowl or World Series.

While these are all memories that you will forever cherish at the price of nothing, some things in life are a bit pricier than others. There are those few people you would do just about anything to sit next to and have a conversation with. Some dream of playing basketball with Michael Jordan or talking with Angelina Jolie. How would you like to sit down, share a fine meal, and socialize with a powerful political figure?

Former Alaska Governor has been in the news frequently since falling short with John McCain in the presidential race. To keep her name in the spotlight while giving back at the same time, Palin has announced that she will be attending dinner for five with whomever the lucky bidder ends up being.

Beginning on Tuesday, September 08 the bidding will begin to sit down and have dinner with the elegant Ms. Palin. The opening bid for dinner for five begins at a pricey $25,000, but can you really put a price on something that will be as memorable as this?

What makes it even more appealing is that the money is not going to be going into her bank account. She is not giving up her time just to make some easy money while dining over a delectable meal of steak and shrimp. Sarah Palin will be dining with lucky winners while offering all of the money as part of a charity auction on eBay for the Ride 2 Recovery program. This program works to support wounded veterans through cycling programs.

In all it will be a 10-day auction that begins at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday. The one downside to this terrific opportunity to meet an inspiring woman while supporting a good cause is that the winner will have to pay for their own travel bill as well. As expected, it is likely that the dinner will be in Alaska. Take it as a chance to see a beautiful region in the world that you may have never experienced yet in life.

Sarah Palin is not the only celebrity that has put herself on the market in the eBay auction. In addition, bidders also have the chance to bit on former Bush aide Karl Rove. Much less than the starting bid of $25,000 that is required for Palin, the opening bid for Rove will start at $7,500.

This is certainly nothing out of the ordinary as fans and enthusiasts have paid to dine or talk with their favorite celebrities for many years prior to this auction. In fact, someone once paid a whopping $2.1 million in 2008 to eat lunch with financial guru Warren Buffet.

Although it may sound like an outlandish price to pay just to eat a meal across the table form a celebrity, these are the moments few actually get to experience. Although starting at $25,000, the price to dine with Ms. Palin is sure to increase rapidly over the 10 days the bidding is open.

The Winner is:

A true fan of Sarah Palin is paying $63,500 to have dinner with her.

Cathy Maples of Alabama, on Friday won the dinner auction, which was a benefit for a charity that helps wounded veterans.

Maples says she fully supports the military and the men and women that are fighting for this nation. Maples owns a defense contracting companyand is a big advocate for Palin, and of course would love to see her as president.

Palin offered the charity auctiob dinner on eBay for the Ride 2 Recovery program, which supports wounded veterans through cycling programs.
