The FOX News Channel morning show discusses the growing outrage over David Letterman’s inappropriate comments on the Palins, his non-apology apology to them, and the escalating backlash against Letterman and his network, CBS, for their continued mistreatment of the Palin family.
Many critics feel that Letterman’s statements were sexist and completely over-the-line.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was the first woman nominated by the Republican Party to run for the office of Vice President of the United States of America.
The popular and charismatic Sarah Palin is considered to be Barack Obama’s greatest challenger for the presidency in 2012.
Among those outraged with Letterman’s remarks is United States Senator Claire McCaskill [D-MO]:
“Letterman jokes about Palin’s daughter. Way over the line. If it were my daughters I’d be furious. He should seriously apologize.”
As might be expected of any father, Todd Palin was extremely displeased with Letterman’s crass words. “Any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”
Letterman’s remarks also have come under fire from the female executives of the Concerned Women for America and the Stop It Now organizations.
“Women’s Advocacy Group Leader Blasts Letterman’s Jokes About Palin, Calls for Apology” During his non-apology, Letterman invited the Palins to appear on his tanking-ratings late-night program.
“”The Palins have no intention of providing a rating’s boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show,” they told FOXNews.com through a representative. “Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman.”"

No doubt she must have had a difficult time explaining to her daughter what was going on and why Letterman said those horrendous things. I hope I never have to have that talk with my daughter. But, I would hope that if I ever do I can take Palin’s example to heart. It is hard enough to be a good mother in regular society without having to deal with it in the spotlight of the international media. [...]
